2025 Girls Empowerment Summit

Empowering the Next Generation of Leaders 
 

The Girls Empowerment Summit is a free event designed to educate, uplift, and inspire middle and high school girls across San Antonio. This year’s theme is Public Safety, celebrating women breaking barriers in law enforcement, Fire, EMS, and other non-traditional career paths.  

Participants will explore real-world career opportunities, build leadership skills, and gain the confidence to shape their future through engaging breakout sessions, hands-on activities, and meaningful conversations with mentors and leaders.  

Join us as we spotlight the voices of San Antonio’s girls and the powerful women paving the way in our communities. 

  • Theme: Public Safety – Highlighting women in law enforcement, Fire, EMS, and other non-traditional careers 

  • Dates: May 30, 2025 (Summit) and May 31, 2025 (Hero Like Her Camp)

  • Time: 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (Summit) and 8:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. (Hero Like Her Camp)

  • Location: Henry B. González Convention Center, Rooms 006–007 (Summit) and SAFD Fire Training Academy 300 S Callaghan Rd, San Antonio, TX 78228 (Hero Like Her Camp)

  • Audience: Middle and high school girls in San Antonio

Registration Information 

REGISTER FOR THE GIRLS EMPOWERMENT SUMMIT HERE

Deadline to register: Friday, May 23, 2025

Waiver info: A waiver signed and dated by the parent or guardian is required. You may download the waiver form, found in the Meetings Files below, and bring it with you to the Summit. Waivers will also be available at the Registration tables on the day of the Summit. 

What to Expect 

  • Interactive breakout sessions on safety, leadership, and mental health 
  • Youth-led panel discussions 
  • Mentor lunch with professionals in various careers 
  • Self-defense class tailored for youth

Logistics 

Parking: Free with a validated ticket 

Drop-off: In front of the Convention Center 

Arrival instructions: Registration begins at 8:00 AM 

What to bring: Waiver signed by parent/guardian, comfortable clothes, curiosity, and a positive mindset 

Riders can use Google Maps or the Transit app to plan their routes. Several lines go through downtown and conveniently stop nearby. For more information, see Via Trip Planner.
